Bucks Guard Williams Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

December 26, 2006 - The National Basketball Association announced today that Bucks guard Mo Williams was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the games played December 18 through December 24. Williams averaged 25.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steal in 35.6 minutes per game to help lead the Bucks to 3-0 record for the week.
Williams registered his first career triple-double with 19 points, 10 assists and a career-high 11 rebounds in the Bucks 121-95 win vs. Miami on December 20.

At Minnesota on December 22, Williams scored 16 of his 26 points in the fourth period as the Bucks won at the Target Center for the first time since a 94-85 victory on March 28, 1999. The win also gave Milwaukee their first three-game win streak of the season and the first two-game series sweep of the Timberwolves since the 1991-92 campaign.

In Saturday’s 115-104 win vs. New Jersey, Williams tallied a game-high 32 points to go along with eight rebounds and a team-high eight assists. The victory gave the Bucks their first four-game winning streak since April 2-7, 2004, and extended their home winning streak to six consecutive contests.
